Jammu, September 8, 2026: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Jammu has appealed to the public for assistance in tracing an accused wanted in connection with a case involving the seizure of 600 grams of heroin.

According to an official notice issued by the NCB, the accused has been identified as Aquib Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Oukhoo village in Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir.

The agency has requested members of the public to immediately inform the concerned officer or the NCB Jammu if the accused is spotted at any location.

Public assistance sought

The NCB has urged people who may have information regarding Bashir’s whereabouts to share his location and any other relevant information with the agency without delay.

The appeal is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to trace the accused and advance its investigation into the heroin case.
