Ramban, Jammu & Kashmir: In a major action against the terror ecosystem, the Jammu & Kashmir Police have attached the immovable properties of four terrorists settled in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) in Ramban district under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

The move is part of the security forces’ continued crackdown on terror infrastructure and financial networks supporting terrorism in the Union Territory.

Properties Worth Over ₹90 Lakh Attached

According to police, the attached properties comprise 13 kanals and 13 marlas of land, with an estimated market value of more than ₹90 lakh.

The properties belong to:

  • Abdul Rashid
  • Ghulam Rasool
  • Abdul Latief Naik
  • Mushtaq Ahmed

All four are stated to be based in Pakistan or Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).

Action Taken Under UAPA

Police said the attachment was carried out in accordance with Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and in compliance with directions issued by the Police Headquarters (PHQ), Jammu & Kashmir.

The action legally prohibits the sale, transfer or any other transaction involving the attached properties without prior permission from the competent authority.

Crackdown on Terror Ecosystem

Officials said the objective of the operation is to dismantle the terror ecosystem by targeting assets belonging to terrorists and disrupting networks that provide logistical or financial support to terrorist organisations.

The attachment of such properties is part of a broader strategy to weaken terror infrastructure and prevent the use of illegally acquired assets for activities that threaten national security.

Sustained Counter-Terror Measures

Security agencies in Jammu & Kashmir have intensified operations against terror networks in recent years, including the attachment of properties, identification of overground worker (OGW) networks, and action against individuals linked to Pakistan-based terrorist outfits.

Police said the campaign against terrorism and its support structure will continue across the Union Territory in accordance with the law.
