Manila: A US-developed Lightfish unmanned surface vessel (USV) has reportedly captured close-range imagery of a Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) Type 052D guided-missile destroyer operating near the Philippines, sparking fresh debate over the growing role of unmanned maritime systems in modern naval warfare.
